Fagnon is home to the former Premonstratensian abbey of Notre-Dame de Sept-Fontaines. It was founded in 1129 and rebuilt in the 17th century. The Septfontaines Abbey monument has been listed as a historic monument since 1980. At the beginning of the First World War, General Joffre established his headquarters at the Septfontaines Abbey in Fagnon.

The Church of Saint-Nicaise has a single-nave body that leads directly to a choir with a three-sided apse. It was probably built around two centuries before a reference to its construction dated 1696. The surviving Gothic elements include the apse window.
The historic site of Abbaye d'Élan is located near Fagnon. In the wider surrounding region of Fagnon are the historic site of Abbaye de Signy, the “Palais des Princes” castle and the “Château fort” castle.
Nature
The Circuit de la « Terre aux Roches » circular trail offers views of the village of Fagnon and its surroundings. La Fagnonnaise was an annual hiking and mountain biking event held in Fagnon.
