Douzy: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Musée des Débuts de l’Aviation also presents Roger Sommer’s biography as a pilot and aircraft designer from 1908 to 1912. The exhibition includes numerous photographic documents as well as an extensive collection of historical postcards. The museum is located at Douzy airfield on Route de Mouzon, 08140 DOUZY.

Leisure

Ardennes Karting offers go-karting with electric karts on a track almost 450 metres long. The leisure facility Base de loisirs – Le Domaine du Lac à Douzy has a swimming area with slides. At the Domaine du Lac de Douzy, visitors can try canoeing; on request, they can also enquire about a paintball session there.

Nature

Starting from Douzy, the “Sur les pas de Charlemagne” hiking route is designated as a very easy 9.8-kilometre route with a duration of three hours. On the way back, it follows the Ruisseau de Magne and offers a panorama of the valleys of the Chiers and the Meuse. The designated parking area for this route is located at Place du 11-Novembre in Douzy.

Local

La Gare – Boutique de Douzy sells agricultural products as well as handcrafted goods. These include, among other things, decorative objects, walking sticks, games and toys made by French or Belgian craftspeople.
