Buzancy: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes

Buzancy is home to the Église Saint-Germain, which was classified as a historic monument in 1920. The church has a pointed-arch portal from the 14th century with an openwork tympanum and a rose window. Inside, there is also a 12th-century statue of Notre Dame de Masmes, which comes from the Chapelle de Masmes.

Culture

The Musée du cheval de trait ardennais displays models of horse-drawn vehicles and numerous accessories that bear witness to the relationship between people and the powerful Ardennes draft horse breed. The museum is located in the surviving, horseshoe-shaped Bouveries (ox stables) of the outbuildings of Château Augeard.

The Musée du cheval de trait ardennais is open on Wednesdays from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. during the April holidays and the July and August holidays. Outside these opening hours, it can be opened on request for groups of five or more people.

Landscape

Buzancy lies on the edge of the Argonne Forest. The Étang de La Samaritaine is a 700-meter-long pond with a pontoon and free access.

Since 2004, the site of the Sentier des Castors has served to protect animal and plant species associated with wetlands.

Walking and Activities

The Sentier des Trois villages invites visitors to enjoy a picnic at the “Fontaine qui bruit.” The circular La Chapelle de Masmes trail leads to the Chapelle de Masmes, the highlight of the route.

The Odyssée VTT autour de Buzancy is a 46-kilometer mountain-biking loop.

Events

Festi’Buz is a recurring music festival in Buzancy. The 8th edition will take place on June 11 and 12, 2027, with two evenings of rock, pop, and variety concerts in a family-friendly atmosphere in a field very close to the Étang de La Samaritaine.
