A two-person kayak trip is offered at the harbour master’s office below the slipway in the confluence area of Verdun-sur-le-Doubs.

The History of Pôchouse

The earliest traces of Pôchouse date back to the 16th century. At that time, the boatmen, raftsmen and fishermen known in Verdunois patois as “Pôchoux” prepared the dish with fish from the Saône and Doubs. Originally, Pôchouse was served with a white wine sauce made from wine produced on the hillsides near Bragny-sur-Saône.
