The Raymond Rochette Museum is located in the keep of Saint-Sernin-du-Bois. It comprises paleontological, archaeological and ethnological departments featuring fossils and imprint slabs, Gallo-Roman remains, historical objects, as well as documents and accounts of local life.

The keep of Saint-Sernin-du-Bois was built around 1360 by Jean de Saint-Privé, the prior of Saint-Sernin-du-Bois, to protect the monastery and the lands of Saint-Sernin.
The church next to the priory of Saint-Sernin-du-Bois preserves elements of the Baroque reconstruction from the 18th century, including pointed arches in the transept and a barrel-vaulted choir; its furnishings are listed as a historic monument.
In Gamay, the Chapelle St Plotot features a Gothic opening with a curved lintel from the 16th century, as well as a narrow pointed-arch opening from the 13th century. Within the municipality of Saint-Sernin-du-Bois, an approximately 400-metre-long paved section of the historic Roman road survives between the hamlet of La Bruyère and the former La Croix Fichot forester's house.
Nature
The Saint-Sernin-du-Bois state forest covers 724 hectares, is open to the public and offers opportunities for family outings, picnics, nature observation, hiking, jogging and mountain biking.
The reservoir and dam of Saint-Sernin-du-Bois were built in 1921 in the town centre; they are suitable for observing biodiversity and enjoying pleasant walks.
The Fontaine Sainte peat bog has a boardwalk with welcome and information panels. The Marais de Fontaine Sainte wetland has a footbridge from which numerous plant species can be observed.
Hiking
Saint-Sernin-du-Bois has 11 yellow-marked PR hiking circuits ranging from 2 to 31 kilometres in length; their starting point is near the dam.
The GR137 long-distance hiking trail passes through Saint-Sernin-du-Bois, connects Autun and Nolay, and has a variant towards Le Creusot from Bas de Chêne.
Halte du Barrage offers long-distance hikers overnight accommodation for up to four people, with beds, a shower and toilet, a kitchenette, and nearby bicycle storage.
