The Château de Pierreclos is a historic, family-run winery and one of the oldest vineyards in Burgundy. It stands on a rocky spur planted with vines, where wine has been produced since the 6th century.

Those who choose Pierreclos as a place to stay want to rent a holiday apartment.

Wine

The tasting workshops at the Château de Pierreclos combine a 15-minute introduction to the history of the château and winery, a wine tasting in the 13th-century cellar, and a visit to the historic cellars.

Group tastings at the Château de Pierreclos feature wines from the Mâcon, Saint-Véran, Pouilly-Fuissé and Bourgogne Pinot noir appellations. The Château de Pierreclos is located on Burgundy’s wine route and in the Vallée de la gastronomie region.

Landscape

Pierreclos lies in a valley in the heart of the Mâconnais hills; vineyards and wineries stretch across the surrounding slopes.

Crafts

At Poterie La Luciole, visitors can meet Lucinda and Pascal and discover their passion for pottery. Poterie La Luciole offers workshops for adults and children and has a boutique open to visitors.

History

Under the Ancien Régime, the history of Pierreclos was closely linked to the history of the Château de Pierreclos. Pierreclos was once a necropolis dedicated to the prominent men of this Roman province.

Visit

The Château de Pierreclos site is accessible to visitors with mobility impairments, but it does not bear the "Tourisme & Handicap" label.
