The Église Saint-Syagre in Maltat is a Morvan barn church with a single-nave, unvaulted interior, a bay for the bell tower, and a semicircular chancel. Its bell tower consists of three levels built during different periods. The roof structure with a triple ridge is considered a characteristic feature of the church and is dated to 1732.

At the 28th edition of the Journées du Patrimoine de Pays in Maltat, the La P'tite Maison association showed visitors a film about the history of Maltat, followed by a guided tour of the town centre.
