In the center of Le Creusot, the Parc de la Verrerie extends over around 28 hectares surrounding the Château de la Verrerie. The park includes an animal enclosure, an aviary and a playground.

The Musée de l’Homme et de l’Industrie presents the former production of crystal in three rooms, from the raw materials to the finished products, and explains the production method and cutting techniques. It also features a collection of crystal objects that were formerly made on site. The museum provides younger children with a free bag containing activities and games.
The Pavillon de l’Industrie offers an interactive, tablet-supported visit with videos, games, 3D animations and augmented reality. The visit begins with two relief models of Le Creusot and its factories from 1836 and 1900.
History and Trails
The 241 P 17 locomotive in Le Creusot is classified as a historic monument. In its workshop, visitors can see the locomotive up close; a guide presents its history and ongoing maintenance work. The steam hammer of Le Creusot is protected as part of its classification as a historic monument.
Between 1905 and 1910, a small theater was established in one of the conical halls in Le Creusot: the Petit Théâtre. During a visit, visitors can see the artists’ dressing rooms in the basement and the theatrical equipment arranged beneath the stage.
A second 14-kilometer circular walk in Le Creusot leads through the workers’ housing estates and across the present-day industrial site.
