The Romanesque Saint-Paul Church in Bussières dates from the 12th and 14th centuries and has been protected as a Monument historique since 1933.

The tomb of Abbé Dumont stands in the choir of the Romanesque church in Bussières; Lamartine wrote the epitaph. Saint-Paul is also associated with the memory of Alphonse de Lamartine and Abbé Dumont, with Abbé Dumont having inspired Lamartine’s poem “Jocelyn”. A copy of “La Vierge à la grappe” by Pierre Mignard can be seen in the church.

The entrance portal of the Château des Essertaux was listed as a Monument historique by decree of 16 April 1992. The Les Gassouillons fountain has existed since the 14th century and supplied the washhouse located below it. The Pré de Chavy washhouse has a lion-shaped water spout from which a constant stream of water once flowed.

The Château Dorry has a tall square tower facing south towards the valley. The Testot-Ferry house was the residence of Henry Bernard Alfred Testot-Ferry. The Château Boulay was built in 1884 for M. Boulay.

The “Dans les pas du poète” hiking route begins in Bussières near La Petite Grosne. Its stated duration is 3 hours and 20 minutes.

The route passes Monsard, at 407 metres, and Montagne de Cras, at 505 metres. Its landscape is considered familiar to the poet.

A small, marked and fairly steep path leads to the Grotte de Jocelyn. According to local legend, it served as a refuge for Abbé Dumont and Mademoiselle de Milly. The Grotte de Jocelyn is freely accessible all year round.

Bussières has a playground. The orientation board on Monsard offers a wide view of Milly-Lamartine, Pierreclos, the rocks of Solutré and Vergisson, and Berzé-la-Ville.
