A special cultural landmark in Velars-sur-Ouche is the Église paroissiale Saint-Blaise. Since 1862, it has housed the miraculous statue of the Virgin Mary, which was found on the grounds of Notre-Dame-de-l'Etang. The Chapelle Notre-Dame d'Etang is also associated with a pilgrimage that has been known since 1371.
The present-day Chapelle Notre-Dame-d'Etang was inaugurated in 1896. It replaced a Gothic building and preserved its apse. The chapel has a polygonal floor plan and a dome; it is also home to an 8-metre-high statue of the Virgin and Child from the Tusey foundries. Including this monumental statue of the Virgin and Child, the Chapelle Notre-Dame d'Etang has been listed as a historic monument by decree of 22 January 1996.
The Fin railway viaduct is located in Velars-sur-Ouche. It was built from 1848 onwards for the PLM railway line and completed in 1851. The Palais des ducs de Bourgogne, a palace, as well as the Château de Vantoux and the Château de Blaisy-Haut, which are classified as castles, are also located near Velars-sur-Ouche. The Monastere Saint-Bernard Fontaine-les-Dijon is a historic site in the vicinity of Velars-sur-Ouche.
