Tillenay: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The gentle rise on which Tillenay was built offers beautiful views of the Saône, the lake, the railway station and the foothills of the Jura. Tillenay is home to Gare d'Auxonne railway station, which was listed as a Monument historique by decree of 28 December 1984.

Those who choose Tillenay for their stay may wish to rent a holiday apartment there.

Culture and History

Although the Chapelle de la Levée is located in Villers-les-Pots, it was classified in the neighbouring municipality of Tillenay. As early as the 7th century, Tillenay had a Saint-Denis chapel near the site of the present-day church.

The Saint-Denis church was completely remodelled around 1830. It houses an 18th-century limestone holy-water stoup, which is part of the protected historic furnishings.

Water Management

The former needle weir near Tillenay has been preserved. The former weir created the Auxonne-Tillenay water retention area. In France, the former needle weir is the last of its size.

Walking

Tillenay offers ideal places for walking. The Tillenay dam, built in 2011, is equipped with a fish ladder.
