Prusly-Sur-Ource: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

History

The Crépan site was home to a castle built in the Middle Ages by the lords of Crépan. The site also includes a dovecote dating from the last quarter of the 16th century; above its entrance is the inscription “EN MAY 1598”.

In the 18th century, a château was built at the Crépan site on the site of the medieval castle. It was rebuilt after a fire in 1896.

A mill in Prusly-sur-Ource that is now used as a residence is located in the hamlet of Ferme de Crépan, beside a millrace diverted from the Ource. The wheel shafts and the associated mechanism of the former millstones have been preserved.

The area “Vallée et coteaux à Prusly-sur-Ource” is listed as ZNIEFF Type I No. 260030080. It is of significant interest for its fauna and flora.

Crafts

Atelier au coeur de la Terre – Poterie Laurence Petit works with white stoneware clay on the potter’s wheel or in slab form.

The studio produces ceramics with unique and varied decorations, including owls, irises and poppies. The studio also makes items to order.

On request, the studio offers demonstrations on the potter’s wheel and explanations of the various production steps.

Wine

Beaufort Alice offers tours of the wine cellar at its Ferme du bois de Langres winery in Prusly-sur-Ource. Wine tastings are also offered there.
