Montliot-Et-Courcelles: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

The Pont des Romains extends across the municipalities of Étrochey, Montliot-et-Courcelles and Vix. Its main construction phase dates back to the fourth quarter of the 17th century; since 29 December 2021, it has been registered as a historic monument.

Culture

The Chapelle Sainte-Anne in Courcelles dates from the 18th century and was remodelled in the 19th century. Its choir contains the painting “tableau: la croix présentée par les anges A l'Enfant Jésus”; it was created around 1640 by Jean Tassel.

The Église Saint-Didier dates from the 13th century and was remodelled in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. It contains a stained-glass window from the 16th century bearing the coat of arms of Michel Boudet, Bishop of Langres.

History

Gallo-Roman remains were discovered at Champs de l'Abbaye in Montliot. The Pierre des Morts in the cemetery is a medieval stone with 25 cup marks.

An object from the 19th century has three basins and a fireplace.

Nature

The Seine runs through Montliot-et-Courcelles. An archaeological exploratory operation took place on its right bank there, near the Fontaine des Abîmes resurrection spring.

Geographical setting

The historic site of Abbaye Notre-Dame de Châtillon-sur-Seine and the Abbaye Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Paul de Pothières monastery are located in the vicinity of Montliot-et-Courcelles. The Mont Lassois hill is also nearby.
