The Eglise Saint-Vorles is classified as a historic monument. The Eglise paroissiale Saint-Vorles contains a crypt that apparently dates from the second half of the 6th century. The church also houses a 7th-century sarcophagus of Saint Vorles, who was a priest in Marcenay. The first three bays of the nave of the Eglise paroissiale Saint-Vorles were built at the beginning of the 11th century.

Another historical highlight is the Haut fourneau de Marcenay: it was built in 1742 and operated until 1866. In 1778, it produced 850,000 pounds of cast iron; at the end of the Ancien Régime, it was regarded as one of the most powerful blast furnaces in the province of Burgundy.
