Landscape and Trails
The equestrian centre at Bonvaux Priory includes numerous bridleways through 140 hectares of woodland and pasture. The priory grounds are now home to an equestrian centre.
The path around the Butte Chaumont reservoir is designated as circular trail 46 and is 8 km long. It runs along the slopes and offers views over the Ouche Valley; the circular trail then reaches the centre of Daix.

Priory and Estate
Bonvaux Priory was the first monastery of the Val-des-Écoliers congregation in 1214. The Champmoron estate was restored in 1666 by the Carthusian prior, who added a chapel there. As early as 1240, the owner of the Champmoron estate granted the religious members of Bonvaux grazing rights there.
The Ferme de Champmoron comprises stone buildings on a wooded slope. The main buildings are arranged over three levels, and access is through an arched passageway.
Church and Art
The Church of Saint-Laurent was rebuilt in the present-day village of Daix after the former church was demolished and was consecrated on 21 April 1850. The painting “Cheval blanc” was found rolled up in the sacristy of the Church of Saint-Laurent in Daix and identified as an incomplete copy of a work by Pierre Paul Rubens.
Copies of two paintings by Jean-Baptiste Lallemand are held in Daix town hall; the originals are kept at the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Dijon.
Local History and Surroundings
A resolution of the municipal council in 1810 noted the severe deterioration of Daix’s washhouse and decided to rebuild it completely. The bus journey from Daix to Darcy takes less than 20 minutes.
