Le Tour-Du-Parc: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Le Tour-du-Parc combines coastal landscapes, paths, oyster farming and historic sites. The municipality is one of the 33 municipalities of the Parc naturel régional du Golfe du Morbihan. Rouvran, a natural, unguarded beach, is located directly in Le Tour-du-Parc.

Coast and landscape

Rouvran is characterised not only by its coastal location: because of its many rocks, the beach is suitable for shore fishing. There are also several other beaches in the vicinity of Le Tour-du-Parc. Plage Suscinio, Plage Beg Lann, Plage de Montsarrac and Plage de la Villeneuve are beaches in the vicinity of Le Tour-du-Parc.

Hiking trails

The GR34 coastal path includes sections between Kerdré and Boderhaff in Le Tour-du-Parc. Another route is the Pencadenic–Le-Tour-du-Parc circular trail: it is 9 km long, takes around 3 hours, is considered easy and starts at Place de l’Église. From Pointe de Pencadénic, this circular trail offers a beautiful view of Penerf, the river and Penvins.

Oysters and market

The local coastal landscape is also reflected in oyster farming. More than 40 oyster farms and work huts line up between Pointe de Béguero and Pointe de Pencadénic. Their walls are decorated with picturesque drawings.

The Domicila market in Le Tour-du-Parc takes place all year round. Its regular vendors include stalls selling fruit and vegetables, meat and oysters. Ostréapolis is a visitor centre for oyster farming and seafood. There, visitors can follow the development of the oyster from the larval stage to the spat stage.

Culture and history

The present-day residential building of the Manoir de Caden was probably built after 1435; the chapel was constructed at the end of the 15th century. There are also several châteaux in the vicinity of Le Tour-du-Parc: Château de Suscinio, Château de Kerlévenan and Château de Truscat. Dolmen de Lannek-er-Men is an ancient site in the vicinity of Le Tour-du-Parc.
