A specific trail through Pleumeur-Gautier is the Boucle de Saint-Adrien. The route is 8 km long and listed as taking 2 hours and 15 minutes; it can be used for hiking, running, cycling and horse riding. This places a marked circular trail with a defined length alongside a trail whose route connects several places.

Trails

The Boucle de Saint-Adrien begins at the Chapelle Saint-Adrien: from the centre of Pleumeur-Gautier, the trail heads towards Pleubian, then continues right at the exit of the village towards Saint-Adrien as far as the chapel; the circular trail is marked. Along the route, a viewpoint offers views of Île Maudez and the Bréhat archipelago. The starting point, route and viewpoint are therefore specific landmarks on this circular trail.

The Circuit des 21 routoirs, on the other hand, is a hiking trail that passes through Trédarzec, Pouldouran, Pleumeur-Gautier and Hengoat. For planning a day out, the marked circular trail and the trail through several places can be considered as different routes. Thus, the first trail describes a clearly defined loop, while the second incorporates several place references into its route.

On the accommodation pages for Pleumeur-Gautier, the travel dates, room category and cancellation conditions can be compared for a holiday apartment based on the respective option. Culture and History

Several buildings represent different historical construction periods. The Chapelle Saint-Adrien is a 16th-century building that was extensively restored at the beginning of the 19th century and handed over to the church council in 1835. It includes an enclosed area and a monumental cross.

The Chapelle Saint-Aaron was rebuilt in 1826 and restored in 1921. The parish church of Saint-Pierre was built between 1900 and 1902 by Toussaint Ollivier to plans by Jules Morvan. The three buildings therefore illustrate different periods and forms of church construction and preservation history, without belonging to the same construction period.

Rural Heritage

At Prad Lez, three flax retting ponds were excavated and lined with masonry. The Kerstrouilh flax retting ponds consist of four excavated ponds enclosed by stone walls, which were formerly used for retting flax.

At the Kerstrouilh flax retting ponds, a small spring supplies the ponds; the water flows from one pond to the next and then into a small stream. The flax retting ponds were restored by the Skol ar C'hleuziou association, which is particularly active in Pleumeur-Gautier, Pouldouran and Trédarzec in the restoration and maintenance of rural heritage. This makes both the former use and the present-day upkeep of these facilities visible.
