In the centre of Orcet, medieval remains stand alongside winegrowers’ houses. The Église Saint-Mary dates from the 11th to the 13th century and was built on the site of a chapel belonging to a 7th-century Benedictine priory. Its Gothic portal dates from the 13th century and is classified as a historic monument.

Culture
Several prominent buildings form part of the historic townscape. The Lavoir de la Narse washhouse on the Auzon was used by the washerwomen of Orcet until the 1930s. The Pont du Malpas is an old Roman bridge that was formerly supplemented by a ford, making access to and exchange with the neighbouring villages easier at the time. The Porte Nord on Rue des Remparts provided access to the village fort of Orcet.
Gallo-Roman history is also present at specific sites: during the Gallo-Roman period, Julius Caesar had his large camp, covering an area of 35 hectares, established at La Serre in Orcet. Two boundary markers erected by Napoleon III and associated with the large camp at La Serre can be seen in Orcet on Avenue de Gergovie and Rue du Consul. The Maison des Comtes on Place Henri Romeuf was owned by the Aragonnès lords from the 17th century onwards.
The cultural heritage on the Auzon also includes a waterwheel and its millrace. Their function was probably to irrigate the neighbouring orchards.
Leisure
The signposted De l'Auzon à Gondole hiking trail is a 9.5-kilometre circular route between Le Cendre and Orcet. It takes 2 hours and 45 minutes and has an elevation gain of 165 metres.
Fermyland in Orcet is an amusement park with more than 30 activities. These include rides, a water area, a mini-farm, a climbing course and inflatable attractions.

Orcet can be reached by car via the A75 or the N89.
