The Chapelle Notre-Dame du Château is a Romanesque castle chapel dating from the 12th century. On the outside, it has a portal with four small columns whose capitals and bases are sculpted. In 1921, the chapel was classified as a historic monument. It can only be visited as part of a guided tour.
The Église Sainte-Croix has 14 carved capitals made of volcanic tuff. They are decorated with plant motifs, mythical animals and geometric shapes. The church can be visited freely; the keys are available from Saignes town hall by calling 04 71 40 62 80.
