Sort-en-Chalosse is situated on a promontory on the Luy; the Circuit du Luy runs around the village. The route begins at the Place de la Mairie in Sort-en-Chalosse. The banks of the Luy are a very idyllic place for a walk.

Culture and History
The Église Notre-Dame in Sort-en-Chalosse houses a protected ensemble consisting of an altar base, tabernacle, monstrance throne, four candlesticks and a statue. The ensemble is an 18th-century work made of carved, gilded and polychrome-painted wood.
The tabernacle door depicts Christ on the Cross in bas-relief. The side panels show the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception on the crescent moon on the right, and Saint Lawrence with his gridiron on the left.
The Château de Dax, a historic site, is located near Sort-en-Chalosse. In the wider surrounding region are the Abbaye Saint-Jean-de-Sorde, also a historic site, and the Abbaye de Saint-Sever, a church. The Cathédrale Notre-Dame is a church in the vicinity of Sort-en-Chalosse.
