Culture and history
In Saint-Gein, there is a château in the Béarnaise style dating from the 15th or 16th century. To the east of the château in Saint-Gein stands a small chapel, which probably dates from its first construction phase.
The Chapelle Notre-Dame was built in the Gothic style of the 13th century. It has a ribbed brick vault with stone ribs and three carved keystones.
The Eglise Saint-Pierre has a two-leaf carved wooden entrance door with angel heads, which is listed as protected. Inside the Eglise Saint-Pierre there is a reredos dating from the 17th and 18th centuries, with Notre Dame de la Délivrance in the centre. The church also has a fortified square tower with a pyramidal roof.
Nature
The Fontaine Notre-Dame is located 200 metres from the national road in a picturesque oak grove and emerges from a basin beneath a stone vault. The Fontaine Notre Dame is located at Place de l'Eglise in Saint-Gein.
The ZNIEFF 1 Étangs de Lamarque et de Luzan covers 49.31 ha in the municipalities of Saint-Gein and Hontanx.

Saint-Gein belongs to the delimited area of the Armagnac Bas-Armagnac appellation.
The Saint-Gein festival takes place on the second weekend of September and includes a Course landaise, which counts towards the Challenge de l’Armagnac.
