History and Culture
During the feudal period, the Château d’Aspremont was the residence of all the viscounts of Orthe. Only the ruins of a keep remain of the Château d’Aspremont; the remains include the motte of the first keep and part of the second keep.
The Château d’Orthe was built on the banks of the Gaves in the 15th century.
Water and Paths
The Quai du Roc is located on the banks of the Gaves Réunis. From there, visitors can enjoy a view of the Château d’Orthe.
