Culture and History
The Marie-Madeleine Commandery of Bessaut, also known as Bessau, is a former Hospitaller commandery in Lencouacq. The Commandery of Bessaut is also a stage on the Limousin Way to Santiago de Compostela. On its grounds, a pointed-arch chapel portal with small columns has been preserved.
The Church of Saint-Jean houses a canopy with six monolithic columns, as well as an altar and a tabernacle made of remarkable red marble. This ensemble comes from the former Cistercian Abbey of Rivet near Auros in the Gironde department. The first Church of Saint-Jean in Lencouacq stood in the middle of the enclosed cemetery and was a simple Romanesque building. The monumental altar of the Church of Saint-Leu is surrounded by columns from Bazas Cathedral.

The Saint-Leu spring is a small basin hidden behind laurel bushes, with an iron cross above it. Pilgrimages were organized there until the end of the Second World War. Today, the spring has dried up, while remaining part of Lencouacq's cultural memory.
Two wooden and brick buildings are still preserved at the former PK 10 de Lencouacq railway station site. At the site of the PK 10 de Lencouacq railway station, a sign reading „La Gare“ marks the location at the entrance to the village. At the Lestrat mill, falling water drives a turbine that turns the millstones. At a mill in Lencouacq, the inscription „Deyres 1843“ is engraved beneath the awning.
Nature
The Observatoire de Lencouacq is a specially designed observation point for cranes on the edge of a cornfield. It offers a shelter, an elevated lookout point, information panels, and discreet conditions for crane watching. Access to the Observatoire de Lencouacq leads from Lencouacq towards Luxey; after two kilometres, turn right onto a road and then continue along a forest track.
Things to Do
The „A Labrit โ Parfums de Landes“ cycle route reaches Lencouacq via the D 392, crosses the bridge over the Gouaneyre, and then continues into the village. It is 39 kilometres long, rated easy, and is listed as taking approximately four hours on average. A regional cycle tour leads to the Saint-Loup spring in Lencouacq and includes a stop there.
