Culture and History
Clermont is home to the Église Sainte Madeleine, a Neo-Romanesque building. The church is mentioned under the patronage of “Sancta Maria de Clarmont” in the Liber rubeus of Dax Cathedral, dating from the 11th to the 12th century.
In 1569, the Église Sainte Madeleine was destroyed during the passage of Protestant troops. From 1809, its bell tower was initially repaired by the carpenter Jean Perrin; the church was then refurnished. It was expanded from 1833 onwards. The work included the installation of another bay, the renovation of the nave, the construction of the side aisles and the vaulting of the building.
The Église Sainte Madeleine is located in the village and can be visited as part of a guided tour.

At Le Canard chez Degert, visitors can tour the farm and the processing workshops. Afterwards, they can sample foie gras, which was awarded a prize at the Concours Général Agricole.
