Wahlbach is located at the confluence of the two watercourses Wahlbach and Steinbach. The municipality covers 6.4 km² and consists mainly of agricultural land as well as some woodland. Culture

The bell tower of the parish church of Saint-Maurice, Saint-Laurent dates from the 13th century. The nave was added to the choir in 1771.

Old gravestones of priests from the 18th and 19th centuries are set into the area beneath the church porch at the entrance. The organ of the parish church of Saint-Maurice, Saint-Laurent was made by Valentin Rinckenbach in 1839 and installed in Wahlbach by Martin Rinckenbach in the 1880s.

Around the Saint-Maurice church in Wahlbach, built in the typical Sundgau style, stand old agricultural buildings and several half-timbered houses.

Wahlbach is located on the D19B departmental road, approximately equidistant from Sierentz and Altkirch.
