At the Musée Serret, the permanent exhibitions cover the history of the Saint-Amarin Valley from prehistoric times onwards. Extensive collections are dedicated to the two world wars, the Alsatian resistance, and the local history of industry, art and everyday life. The collections are housed in the former Alsatian mobile hospital.

Culture
The Tour Diffor is a medieval tower dating from the 13th century, built at the same time as the castle. The Schlessel, also known as “schlössel” or “petit château”, is a house built in 1807 by the De Grand-Champs family on the site of the former feudal castle of Saint-Amarin.
From the 13th to the 18th century, the Maison du Bailli served as the residence of the baillis of Saint-Amarin. The building marks the site of Saint-Amarin’s medieval northern gate.
The Maison des Monnaies was established in Saint-Amarin in 1544 as the Murbach Abbey’s mint; thalers, half-thalers and quarter-thalers were minted there. The historic building can still be entered through the bakery or the flower shop located there.
Nature
The Vogelbach River rises at the foot of the Hundskopf at an altitude of over 1,000 metres and then flows into the Thur.
