A road leads to the summit of Faudé, which is crowned by a tower inaugurated in 2004.
Culture and history
Orbey was first mentioned in 1049 under the name Orbeiz. The Cistercian Abbey of Pairis was founded in 1138 in the Noirrupt valley.
The Mémorial du Linge is located at Collet du Linge in Orbey, in the Haut-Rhin department. The Musée du Linge and its battlefield document the heavy fighting.
The chapel-school in Hautes Huttes has been known since the 18th century and is still used for celebrations in honour of Saint Barbara on 4 December.
Winter and regional cuisine
The Lac Blanc ski resort offers alpine skiing. Snowshoe hikes are also available there.
