Culture and History
The historic village of Niedermorschwihr has preserved old half-timbered houses. The Church of Saint Gall contains a Silbermann organ. Its bell tower is classified as a historic monument; the nave, choir and sacristy are listed.
The preserved choir tower of the Church of Saint Gall, dating from the early 13th century, has a roof spire that is initially square and then twisted into an octagonal shape, considered unique in Alsace. The Chapel of Saint Wendelin was built in 1664 in honour of a revered figure who was regarded as a great protector of livestock.
