The Saint-Étienne parish church in Nambsheim has been documented since 1302. Its choir may date from the 14th century. In 1832, the building was raised, the windows were enlarged, and the nave was extended to the west; the bell tower porch was built in 1937.
The church has a Callinet organ, considered the smallest model built by this organ maker, which was purchased by the municipality in 1842 for 2,400 francs.
Three stone benches dating from 1854 are known in Nambsheim as the benches of Empress Eugénie. They consist of two supports made of pink Vosges sandstone, which hold a lintel for placing loads and a seat; the loads were carried on the heads of peasant women. In 1993, the municipality restored the benches together with the département.
The gate of the former seigneurial farm dates from the late 16th century. It has a round-arched passageway, loopholes, and a lean-to roof.

History
The historic port of Nambsheim was located on a former branch of the Rhine and already existed in the 10th century. It is mentioned in the designation “Namenesheim juxta Rhenum cum portu”.
A ferry connected the two banks of the Rhine near Nambsheim from 1845 to 1866, from 1886 to 1914, and again from 1944 to 1945.

Nambsheim is part of the ZNIEFF area “Cours et île du Rhin de Village-Neuf à Ottmarsheim”.
The “Cours et île du Rhin de Village-Neuf à Ottmarsheim” area is protected under the Birds Directive (SPA), the Habitats Directive (SAC, SCI, pSCI), and the Ramsar Convention as a protected wetland.

Nambsheim is served by the intermunicipal demand-responsive transport service ComCom Bus.
The Pilgrims’ Tour is an easy 28.89-kilometre cycling loop in Alsace with a stated duration of three hours. It passes through Nambsheim and Vogelgrun as well as Agolsheim before returning to Neuf-Brisach.
