Logelheim: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

At the end of Rue Lazare de Schwendi, a 1.35-hectare sports and leisure complex stretches along the Ill. It includes a children's playground and a city park for young people.

A Benjes hedge in the municipal orchard provides beneficial insects such as lacewings with a habitat and serves as a retreat for small mammals, including hedgehogs. A picnic table was also installed in the orchard in 2022.

Events

In 2024, the “La Ruée des Fadas” race covered eight kilometres around the multi-purpose hall in Logelheim and included around 30 different obstacles. By 2024, the obstacle race event had reached its third edition after two previous years.

Culture

The Saint-Gall quilles game is regarded as part of Logelheim's local cultural heritage. In 2024, the “Schiffalafascht” was one of the regular events organised by the quilles club in Logelheim; that year, its 10th edition took place.

Saint Maurice Church is mentioned as a parish church as early as the 8th century and was dedicated to Saint Maurice in the 12th century. In addition to regular masses, choral singing and small concerts are occasionally held there.

History

The ruins of Hohlandsberg Castle in the area above Wintzenheim are historically connected with Logelheim through the former Hohlandsberg lordship, as the village was once incorporated into this lordship.
