The Chemin de Mariastein is a marked, 30-kilometre hiking trail from Levoncourt to Mariastein through the Alsatian Jura. It follows a former pilgrimage route.

Hiking
The first, eight-kilometre stage of the Chemin de Mariastein runs from the Julien Idoux car park in Levoncourt to La Charrière in Winkel. The trail can be walked in one go or in stages; all starting points are accessible by car.
The “Par Oberlarg et la Crête de la Montagne” route starts at the lower car park of Levoncourt church and leads through meadows and woodland. Along the way, it offers views of the ruins of Château du Morimont and the upper Largue Valley.
The “Autour de Levoncourt” route offers a viewpoint over the village of Levoncourt as well as a wildlife park, ponds, streams, forests, meadows, flora and fauna. It is described as a family-friendly walk that requires no special equipment.
Landscape and Nature
Above Levoncourt, the Roc au Corbeau rises to 735 metres along a path beside the French-Swiss border. The limestone outcrop offers views of the ruins of Château du Morimont and its former manor house, as well as the Vosges on the horizon.
Near the Ferme des Ebourbettes, the Rocher de la Sorcière overlooks the upper Largue Valley and part of the Swiss Ajoie region. The municipality of Levoncourt is listed in the ZNIEFF “Vallées de la Largue et affluents”; this is included in the type 2 ZNIEFF “Vallées de la Largue, de sa source à sa confluence avec l'Ill, et de ses affluents”.
Culture
The Église Saint-Maurice is part of the local history. Its sacristy dates from 1786 and houses two wooden statues.
