The parish church of Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul in Steinbourg has been documented since 1371. The former church was rebuilt in 1789, destroyed in 1896, and replaced in 1897 by a new building constructed by Heinrich Hannig. The church has three naves; its main walls are made of sandstone and dressed stone.
La Fontaine aux Enfants is a water reservoir dating from the 13th or 14th century. At its base is a hexagonal oak framework topped by ashlar blocks made of Vosges sandstone. Local folklore attributed to the fountain the ability to fulfil a wish for a child if sugar was thrown into it.
Hiking Trails
The Sentier des Arbres Remarquables is a 9 km hiking trail marked with yellow rings and leads through the Vogelgesang forest. Within the municipality of Steinbourg, it features twelve remarkable trees distinguished by their size, appearance, age, or significance.
The Circuit André Weckmann is a 4.8 km hiking trail marked with red rings. It was created to highlight Steinbourg’s natural, cultural, and historical heritage.
