Soultz-les-Bains is located along the Alsace Wine Route. All seven Alsatian grape varieties are represented in the village’s wine-growing area, with Riesling and Gewürztraminer predominating. This wine-growing character is complemented by historic buildings, signposted trails and the Jesselsberg nature site.

Culture and History
The tower of Saint Maurice Church was built between 1185 and 1200. The church has been listed as a historic monument since 1996. Inside is a Silbermann organ that was restored in 2007 and returned to its 1848 condition. It has the only surviving pair of wedge bellows by Jean-André Silbermann. The church in Soultz-les-Bains, built in 1845, also has a ceiling shaped like an inverted ship’s hull.
The Sentier des Casemates is a signposted circular trail that combines hiking with historical discovery. It passes through vineyards and forests, past remnants of the First World War, and offers panoramic views. The IR6 infantry shelter is located on the Dangolsheim ridge above Soultz-les-Bains. The Holtzbrunne fountain dates from the 19th century, was formerly used as a watering trough for flocks of sheep and lies along a Club Vosgien route. The first written records of the Kaltenbrunne fountain date from 1651; restoration of the site was completed in October 2000. The former lime kiln was used to process limestone from the nearby quarries.
Wine Growing and Trails
Numerous signposted trails run through the vineyards of Soultz-les-Bains. The complete Sentier des croix et oratoires can be divided into an approximately 6 km yellow loop and a 7.5 km red loop. For mountain biking, the 25 km Couronne d'Or VTT circular route passes through the wine-growing villages of Ergersheim, Wolxheim and Soultz-les-Bains.
Nature
The Jesselsberg offers views of Strasbourg Cathedral and Donon. The 22-hectare site was leased by the municipality of Soultz-les-Bains to the Conservatoire des Sites Alsaciens for 99 years. Depending on the season and location, visitors to the nature site may spot hawthorn, dogwood, privet, barberry and sage, as well as skylarks, kestrels, magpies, lizards and signs of deer or badgers.
Thermal History
At the beginning of 1999, Sulzbad reopened and became a spa and wellness centre. The Sulzbad thermal site is partly located in Soultz-les-Bains; following the fire on 29 July 2025, the facility remained closed as of June 2026 and was not expected to reopen in 2026.
