The Schweighouse/Moder Historical Circuit is a visitor trail through the town's monuments and history. It begins at the Villa.

When the old church was demolished in 1899, Roman graves were found in its walls. The Schweighouse parish has existed since the end of the 10th century.

Nature and trails

The Moder is the most important body of water crossing Schweighouse-sur-Moder and a direct tributary of the Rhine.

A permanent circular trail starts in Schweighouse-sur-Moder and leads through the pine forests in the southwest of the Forêt d'Exception® de Haguenau. It crosses the Zinsel du Nord and Moder rivers repeatedly.

In the surroundings of Schweighouse-sur-Moder, La balade du Sandhaas runs between Haguenau and Schweighouse-sur-Moder through the town, fields and forest. The route also passes through a pine forest on sand dunes and through a deciduous forest.

Getting around

Schweighouse-sur-Moder railway station has covered bicycle shelters and free car parking. It is connected to the regional Fluo bus network and the Ritmo urban bus network.
