Culture and history

The partially protected Château d’Osthoffen includes the façades and roofs of the main building, the fully preserved stair towers, the moats, the terrace and the well. The Château d’Osthoffen is partially listed as a Monument historique. Construction phases from the 10th, 16th and 18th centuries are documented at the Château d’Osthoffen.

The present-day Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur church in Osthoffen dates from 1826; the base of its bell tower is Romanesque and dates back to the 13th century. The rectangular interior of Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur church, which has a ceiling, comprises five window bays.

The present-day synagogue in Osthoffen was built by the architect Robert Lévy on a previously developed site between 1863 and 1865. It is a rectangular building on an older basement, with a round-arched entrance and four window bays. The synagogue is currently out of use and is used as a storage room.

Vitaboucle No. 32 in Osthoffen is an 8 km-long route suitable for walking and hiking.

The regional Fluo Grand Est 67 bus route No. 240 connects Osthoffen with Strasbourg.
