Culture

The Protestant church in Langensoultzbach was built according to the plans of architect Albert Haas; its main construction phase dates from 1845 to 1846. It was inaugurated in 1847. The instrumental section of its organ is classified as a protected historic object, with the protection designation dating from 27 February 1980.

The Sentier des peintres de l'impressionnisme is located in a renovated, unusual house at 16 rue des Cerfs. There, wall frescoes display pastiche-like reproductions of works by important 19th- and 20th-century painters. The tour includes around one hundred reproductions, ranging from Impressionist painters to modern art.

The Wittschlössl Castle, Wegelnburg Castle and the Château de Wineck ruins are located in the area around Langensoultzbach. The Château du Nouveau Windstein ruins are in the immediate vicinity of Langensoultzbach.

History

In 1996, the municipality decided to restore the former Catholic chapel next to the church in order to house Gallo-Roman stone slabs that had been discovered during the demolition of the previous church. Votive stele no. 4 was discovered in 1844 during the demolition of the old church.
