Kurtzenhouse: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The mixed-denomination Saint Michel Simultaneous Church in Kurtzenhouse is one of the few churches in Alsace that remains subject to the status of the Simultaneum, which has been in effect there since 1843. The church was rebuilt in 1784 in the Neoclassical style. Its nave contains three 18th-century statues depicting Saint Michael subduing the dragon, Saint Nicholas, and Saint Louis.

Culture

Kurtzenhouse Town Hall has arcades, a wrought-iron balcony, and a clock on its main façade. It is listed in the general inventory of the commune's cultural heritage. Next to the town hall is a historic farm complex dating from the late 18th century. It comprises an Alsatian-style house and outbuildings arranged around a courtyard.

The circular trail Le vallon du Lohgraben is 8 km long, takes around 2 hours, and passes through the communes of Gries, Kurtzenhouse, and Weitbruch. As it passes through Kurtzenhouse, it showcases traditional half-timbered houses. The trail through Kurtzenhouse also runs through a landscape of river terraces cut by small valleys, as well as along the meandering Lohgraben, with a mosaic-like succession of wooded areas and green hedgerows.
