The hike to Château du Frankenbourg begins at the Dieffenbach-au-Val festival hall. It is marked with a red triangle and takes around 3 hours and 30 minutes; approximately 1 hour is required for the return journey to Dieffenbach-au-Val.

The Sentier de découvertes passes by D’Kapall. In the parish church of Saint-Laurent, the ground floor of its chancel tower is considered a possible remnant of a recluse chapel and is likely to date from the first half of the 14th century. The nave was extended westwards in 1785.

Local life

The Buremarik is a farmers’ market in Dieffenbach-au-Val and takes place every second Sunday in October. Around 50 producers offer products from mountain agriculture there. The Buremarik includes a mushroom exhibition, changing thematic exhibitions, wooden games, wool spinning and basket weaving.

Distillerie Massenez offers free tastings to groups and individuals. Guided tours for groups are possible by prior registration.
