The path around Kvie Sø is approximately 2.3 km long and is also easy to walk with a pushchair. For families, this loop can be a practical way to include a walk by the water in their day. On the southern shore, the hiking trail crosses a causeway between Kvie Sø and the adjacent moorland. The causeway is a distinctive section of the hiking trail along the southern shore. A public car park on Kvie Søvej is located approximately 70 metres northwest of the bathing area and is connected to it by a footpath.

Canoes, kayaks and rowing boats are permitted on the open water of Kvie Sø. Reed areas and places where the water is too shallow are excluded. Compared with the approximately 2.3 km loop around the lake, this provides a second clearly defined route for planning the day. Depending on your interests, you can choose between the waterscape and the moorland, or consider both areas as different nature experiences. The signposted distance makes it easier to incorporate this moorland loop into your daily plans.

Family Experience and Local Storytelling Tradition

Even in changeable weather, Kvie offers a family-oriented addition: Pandekagehuset has an indoor play paradise for children aged 4 to 12. This activity may be particularly relevant when choosing holiday accommodation if, alongside nature experiences, you also want to plan an activity under cover. It is a separate experience alongside the paths by the lake and through the moorland.

Kvie Sø is also associated with a local legend about a friendly troll king. According to the story, he demanded a heifer as an annual sacrifice.
