Billund Municipality combines exceptional worlds of experiences with sculptures, historic farms and diverse trails. LEGOLAND® Billund Resort offers more than 45 rides. In LEGOLAND® Miniland, famous buildings and places are presented as miniature models made from more than 20 million LEGO® bricks, while LEGO® Create & Play invites visitors to build their own creations.

Experiences

LEGO House also focuses on creating things yourself: visitors can build their own creations there. This offering is complemented by guided tours and play activities for LEGO fans of all ages. A visit to the experience zones at LEGO House typically takes three to four hours. Within the same themed world, different ways of experiencing it are therefore available side by side – from rides and detailed miniature models to independent building and guided tours.

Another world of experiences is WOW PARK Billund. There, visitors can enjoy experiences in the treetops, on the forest floor, in the water and even underground. The municipality of Billund also offers short everyday walks and longer holiday hiking routes, including Heart Paths, Cloverleaf Paths and the Coast-to-Coast Path.

Culture and history

Billund can also be explored through its sculptures. The sculptures in Billund Sculpture Park stand along a paved path in a green and lush area beside Billund Bæk. The sculpture guide for Billund covers a total of 42 sculptures or groups of sculptures in Billund. Its suggested route is approximately 4 km long and includes a meadow, a body of water and woodland vegetation in Billund Sculpture Park.

The Playline provides a unique connection between the attractions: it links the tourist attractions in eastern Billund with the town centre in the west. Along its entire route, it is marked on the surface with various thermoplastic graphics.

At the Karensminde Museum Farm, the history stretches back to the mid-17th century. The Museum Farm preserves old historic breeds of farm animals through a comprehensive breeding programme. Visitors are invited to enter both the farmhouse and the stables. The Karensminde farm shop sells goods made by volunteers on the farm, including jam, juice, handicrafts and handmade items.

The Mark Museum also bases its museum experience on the last 400 years of the history of agriculture, industry and tourism. At Museumsgården Karensminde, the “Historisk Dyrskue og veteranstævne” took place in 2024 for the 34th time and was described as a recurring museum day. The event includes historic farm animals, market stalls, veteran vehicles and agricultural machinery. A traditional Christmas market was also held again at Museumsgården Karensminde in a special cultural and historical setting. The experience is free and accessible year-round, both during and outside the museum’s regular opening hours.

Getting around

For connections, Midttrafik route 912X runs between Aarhus, Skanderborg, Horsens, via Vejle on some departures, and Billund Airport. Within Billund, the Playline provides a connection between the tourist attractions in the east and the town centre in the west, marked continuously along the surface with various thermoplastic graphics.
