The green route passes the school, goes down to the river and around Mergelgraven. The green route was established as a school trail in cooperation with Filskov Friskole. It passes the school, goes down to the river and around Mergelgraven. In this way, it combines an insight into the local surroundings with a route whose origins are closely connected to the school site. Anyone who does not want to stick to just one trail during their stay will find several options with different characteristics in Filskov.

The blue route is 4.5 km long and has a maximum gradient of 5.2%. It leads through a characteristic landscape with fields, plantations and meadows along the Omme Å. You can hike or cycle along this route.

The red route is suitable for both pedestrians and cyclists. The black route passes close to Dyreskoven. Along it, visitors can encounter tame and wild animals. This means that different interests can be taken into account when choosing an activity: while some travellers prefer the landscape along the Omme Å, others are more interested in being close to Dyreskoven or in a route that can be used on foot and by bicycle.

Short Circuit and Local History

For a shorter walk, the circuit in Filskov is a good option. It is 2.6 km long and is complemented by a brochure and information boards along the route. This combination of a manageable distance and information on site is suitable for a part of the day when you want to get to know Filskov at a more leisurely pace. The Filskov heart trail starts and ends in the car park at Filskov Kro.

Filskov Church is part of the area’s cultural landmarks. It was built in 1877 in the Romanesque Revival style. Anyone who wants to combine nature experiences and exercise with a historic building can include the church in their travel plans. Together with the routes, it creates a picture of Filskov that consists not only of landscapes, but also incorporates the town’s development and local character.
