The site includes a circular trail of approximately 4.5 kilometres, which can be divided into two sections and leads back to the starting point. Kibæk Mølle is regarded as one of the town's cultural centres and at the same time as an excursion and cultural destination on the outskirts of Kibæk. Heathland, woodland and trails around Kibæk

The 66-hectare woodland and heathland area Hede ved Kibæk is managed year-round through extensive grazing by cattle. The entire enclosure of the heathland near Kibæk may be entered, including the private section. For your planning, this provides an extensive natural area characterised by heathland, woodland and year-round grazing.

Several trails offer different ways to explore the landscape. The Kibæk-Momhøje Trail connects Kibæk with Momhøje. It runs as a gravel path through the western part of Følpøt Skov; 400 metres of new trail were created as part of the trail. The yellow Kibæk Syd route can start at several points and be extended into the wider trail network in and around Kibæk. Another yellow route, Kibæk–Momhøje, runs between Kibæk Mølle and the Momhøje Nature Centre and can be incorporated into the nature centre's trail network.

In the immediate vicinity of the Momhøje Nature Centre, there is also a 1.3-kilometre, accessibility-friendly trail through heathland and woodland, passing Opalsøen. Along the way, it passes the remains of a former open-cast lignite mine. Those travelling with a dog can also include the approximately 1.5-hectare Hundeskov v. Kibæk in their plans. A hiking route by Dansk Vandrelaug passes Møllesøen and Sandfeldgård Plantage near Kibæk, through the town and across open landscapes; the return route follows the Vonå.

Choosing the right base for your trip

The landscape continues within the town itself: A green natural area with lakes and trails connects Kibæk Mølle with Kibæk Krydsfelt and the recreational areas around the green heart of Kibæk. The Vonå runs through Kibæk in a green corridor and, together with Harreskov Plantage, forms one of the town's recreational areas.
