Nature
The Beskydy Protected Landscape Area covers more than 555 km² within Vsetín District. Its section in the area contains primeval forests as well as rare animals and plants and is considered one of Europe's most valuable natural sites. The Beskydy Protected Landscape Area also includes significant parts of the Vsetín Hills and the Moravian Javorníky.

Culture
The Wallachian Open-Air Museum in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm is described as the oldest and largest open-air museum in Central Europe. It comprises around 100 historical buildings. The largest area of the museum is Valašská dědina, where everyday life in a Wallachian village from the late 18th century to the 1950s is portrayed.

Tradition
The Valašsko region has a pastoral tradition that evolved from extensive goat farming to sheep farming. By the early 19th century, high-quality linen production had also developed in Valašsko, supporting the livelihood of the local population.
Pustevny is home to a distinctive ensemble of wooden buildings in the folk style. Libušín and Maměnka are among the best-known cottages there. A statue of the pagan god Radegast stands on the ridge of Radhošť. The Chapel of Saints Cyril and Methodius on Radhošť is described as the highest-altitude ecclesiastical building in the Czech Republic.
History
The permanent exhibition “Living Memory of the Region” at Vsetín Chateau presents the history and traditions of the Wallachians. The château also includes a Templar cellar with a playroom for knights. The natural history exhibition in the château tower includes the Bečva River Aquarium with live fish, and traditional museum events are held at Vsetín Chateau.
Cycling
The Bečva Cycle Path connects Karolinka and Velké Karlovice through the valley of the Vsetínská Bečva. Experienced cyclists can continue from Strčková to the Kyčerka ski resort and descend via the Baďurka Trail.
