Osek: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Hrádek is located on the site where Zálužský hrad Castle stood in the Middle Ages and remains a local landmark of the landscape to this day.

Culture

The village square is home to a chapel with a square floor plan, a hipped roof and a wooden lantern with a bell. It is of local heritage significance. Near the chapel, the war memorial commemorates those who fell in the world wars. The cast-iron cross on the road to Újezd stands opposite the school in Osek.

Osek Park is home to the T. G. Masaryk Monument, which was donated in 1948 by a group of people from Osek in Prague. Osek House No. 66 is a traditional timber house of heritage value.

Nature

The surviving historic ponds include Žákův rybník and U Severů. Each is one of two ponds that have survived in Osek out of a total of ten historic ponds.

Experiences

The “Běh partyzánskou stezkou” race held in Osek has already taken place for the 44th time and is organized in memory of the anti-fascist resistance in the Hořovice region. The route partly follows an asphalt road and then continues through forest terrain to a partisan shelter and back.

Cycling

The “Z Hořovic na Záskalskou a do Komárova” cycle route leads into the municipality of Osek. A cycle path from Osek to the outskirts of Hořovice is expected to be completed soon.
