The “Velíz Forest Panorama” educational trail runs along the slope of the distinctive Velíz hill and offers views of the Brdy and Křivoklátská pahorkatina. The “Green Trail – Across the Ridges” also passes through Kublov; it includes a marked turnoff to Velíz.
Culture and History
The J. L. Zvonař Memorial can be visited by prior arrangement. The park also contains a memorial to J. Zvonař dating from 1871.
On Velíz above Kublov lies the protected heritage zone with the Church of Saint John the Baptist and the monastery remnants, including the former monastery site. It comprises the church, the rectory, the mortuary, a farm building, the perimeter wall, the medieval monastery remnants, and the monastery site. Further south of this complex on Velíz, remains of monastery walls are still visible.
Zvonařova roubenka, the birthplace of J. Zvonař, is a typical example of Central Bohemian vernacular architecture from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. The Staročeské máje festival took place in Kublov again in 2026 and included a Czech and Moravian Beseda.
