Nature and Landscape
The Koda National Nature Reserve encompasses the cadastral area of Korno. This national nature reserve contains important stratigraphic, palaeontological and archaeological sites. In the immediate vicinity of Korno are Doutnáč, a mountain, and Střevíc [Korno], a hill. Hradec, a mountain, is located in the vicinity of Korno; Plešivec, a mountain, lies in the wider regional surroundings of Korno.
History and Townscape
A Celtic settlement, a so-called oppidum, was located on the slope of Střevíc towards the Berounka. The Neo-Romanesque chapel at the upper end of Korno village square dates from the 19th century and stands on elevated ground above the village square. The chapel is accessible from the south via a staircase; a station of the Liteň educational trail is located next to it.
Most of the farmsteads in Korno date from the 19th century. They are grouped around regular courtyards on plots of medieval origin.
