The parish of Premuda was Glagolitic. The preserved Glagolitic parish records of Premuda include the Glagolitic marriage register from 1656 to 1718, the Glagolitic death register from 1662 to 1718, the Glagolitic register of St. Cyriacus from 1697 to 1812, as well as six Glagolitic missals and breviaries.
The parish church of St. James the Apostle on Premuda was built in 1610 and is one of the island's most important sights. The Church of St. Cyriacus (Kirijak) and the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary on Premuda dates from the 17th century.
