The village has a parish church dedicated to Saint Nikola Tavelić. It was consecrated in the 1970s and is considered the first church to be consecrated during the communist period. These four celebrations date back to customs brought by the settlers when they established themselves here. Looking even further back, documents from the 12th century mention the property name Sichoua, which is associated with Sikovo.

Another historical trace is the ruins of Dvorine. They are located on the road between Sveti Filip i Jakov and Sikovo and belong to a rectangular structure with a ground area of 29 × 21 metres. The surviving walls are up to 3 metres high. The ruins are associated with the extension of the Church of Saint Roch on Rogovo.

Landscape and flavour

Sikovo’s cultural landscape includes numerous olive groves, which are owned by almost every family. The village lies between fertile fields; expansive green areas seem to stretch all the way to the Velebit mountains. Agriculture and landscape are visibly side by side here.
