Culture and History
The parish church of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Zaton dates back to 1670. Northwest of present-day Zaton are the remains of the three-nave medieval Church of Saint Andrew.
Kaštelina Tower was built by the Venetians to defend Nin against the Turks. Underwater surveys in a nearby bay uncovered the remains of three Liburnian boats in 1979–1987 and 2002–2003.

Zadar-Zemunik Airport is approximately 30 kilometres from Zaton. Intercity buses run between Zadar and Zaton almost every hour.
