Oključna is protected as immovable cultural heritage and classified as a rural ensemble of the town of Komiža. Oključna is home to the Baroque Chapel of Saint Anthony of Padua. It was built on 8 July 1714 as a family chapel on the Mirce estate. The chapel stands next to a house with a semicircular tower, and its lintel bears the coat of arms of the Visković family.

Nature

Teuta's bellflower (Campanula teutana) is currently known only from the area around Oključina on Vis. It blooms from mid-May to the end of June and grows in hard-to-reach crevices of north-facing limestone cliffs above the sea.

Queen's Cave consists of five chambers connected by halls and rich in stalactites and stalagmites. Reaching the cave requires an approximately one-hour walk along a narrow path east of Oključna. The excursion to Queen's Cave also includes a half-hour drive on a macadam road to Oključna.

Trails

The “KOMIŽA – ZAGREBENJE – OKLJUČNA” trail takes about two and a half hours and includes 390 metres of ascent and 390 metres of descent. The surface changes from asphalt to macadam and then to an agricultural track.

On the “VIS – OKLJUČNA” route, the trail branches off from the road after 2 kilometres, continues for approximately 1.5 kilometres on asphalt, and then becomes macadam as far as the village. A macadam road near Oključna connects to a road leading towards Oključna Bay.
